When I’m craving a book that makes me laugh and reminds me how much I love reading, Sophie Kinsella’s books are one of my favorites.
I have read all the books he has written and many of them multiple times (my favorites are Can you keep a secret?, I have your number, 1920s girl, The party destroyer AND The non-domestic goddess).
She’s best known for her Shopaholic book series, which is also a delight, even if you’re dying a little inside from the overspending. This was one of the first series I read as I was reading for fun again after a long hiatus during high school and college and I will never forget the sheer pleasure of flipping through a book just for fun.

Other books to check out if you liked Confessions of a Shopaholic

Finlay Donovan is driving Elle Cosimano crazy
I received so many recommendations for this book before reading it! It’s about a suburban mom who, while going through a messy divorce, is mistaken for a killer. He won’t kill someone. . . . but the money would really help get her manipulative ex-husband off her back. Laugh out loud, funny and a little zany! And I flipped through the sequel, which was just as delicious!

Katherine Center Dispatchers
This is the latest book from the Katherine Center. It definitely has Sophie Kinsella vibes (perfect if you love it Shopaholic!). It’s absurd, funny and there are a lot of great jokes. I loved it!

Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
I’ve read pretty much all of Emily Giffin’s books, but I still think her first, Something on loanis the best, about Rachel who has always been second fiddle to her lively and wonderful best friend, Darcy. Up until her 30th birthday, Rachel confesses to Darcy’s boyfriend that she has always had feelings for him and it turns out it’s not one-sided. As the wedding day approaches, Rachel must decide whether to let the wedding happen or take a stand for what she wants for the first time in her life.

Hester Browne’s Little Lady Agency
My mother sent me these books ten years ago after reading them and I flipped through them in a couple of days about a woman starting a small dating business that, of course, COULDN’T get complicated. This is definitely one of those novels that are perfect to read on the beach!

The Sarah Adams Cheat Sheet
Bree is in love with her best friend, who happens to be the handsome NFL legend, Nathan Donelson. He clearly only sees her as a friend, but after a drunken night and an interview with a TMZ reporter, they might turn out to be the perfect couple after all.

Katherine Center’s bodyguard
Hannah seems like a mild-mannered kindergarten teacher, but she’s actually a private bodyguard who could probably kill you with your wristwatch. His company is taken over by Jack Stapleton, who is a big movie star and dealing with a stalker problem. She needs protection as she returns home to visit her mother undergoing cancer treatment and Hannah is put to work. The lines get a little blurred when Jack wants her to pretend to be his girlfriend to keep her parents from worrying about him. What could go wrong in this situation!?

The good part of Sophie Cousens
This reminds me a little What Alice forgot, where the protagonist wakes up to find herself 16 years in the future, no longer an underemployed twenty-something living with multiple roommates in a very shady apartment but instead married with two adorable kids, a gorgeous house, and a very legitimate career.

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh
I heard this story about a lonely college researcher who gave up on love (and pretty much all relationships) on my runs last summer and it was a nice distraction from the miles I was clocking up. The heroine is Isadora who finds a magazine article with 31 ways to be happy and decides that she will prove the author wrong: she will do all 31 things and there is no way she will be happier in the end. Right? This is a squeaky clean romance with a STEM plot and is a fun, fluffy delight.

The Switch by Beth O’Leary
I really loved his book Sharingand this one did not disappoint. When an exhausted Leena and her 80-year-old grandmother, Eileen, decide to swap homes for two months, they both get the fresh start they didn’t know they needed. This is full of romance, family relationships and charming village life.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
