How to embellish a book cover

Last summer, my kids’ lit book club had a dazzling book night and it was so much fun!
Frankly, I’m not very good at it, so I wasn’t sure if it would be particularly fun for me, but then I loved it so much that I immediately went home and ordered some gorgeous accessories for my kids to make that they’ve been showing off non-stop for the past year (everything from books to phone cases to shoes to bookmarks!).
For our book club, everyone brought a book of their choice and the hostess provided everything needed. We estimated that one set of gems could easily make 100 or more books.
He also bought a set of these wax pencils which make it very easy to transfer gems onto book covers, plus there are little trays to hold the gems.

Everyone worked on their book covers and talked about what they had read recently and it was just a perfect summer book club night.
I have loved hearing from so many people in my community that they have done this at book club, with their kids, at family reunions, and at camps and it has been a huge success.
This summer I was in charge of recreation at our church’s women’s camp and dazzling was by far the biggest success. The girls spent hours dazzling everything in sight and it was so much fun!
Here’s how we bedazzled our books (it’s that simple!):
- Place the gem of the color you prefer in a saucer
- Carefully apply glue (we used the one provided in the set) to the part of the book cover you want to embellish. I usually make enough for 8-10 buds at a time.
- Using the wax pencil, transfer a gem from the dish to the lid.
- Repeat until all the glue is covered, then apply glue to the next section and repeat with more gems.
- Let dry completely and enjoy!
The biggest questions about book dazzle were first and foremost: “how does a dazzle book stay on the shelf?” The buds are pretty flat, so they stick out a little, but I still easily put my books back on the shelf without any issues. If this is a problem for you, some people dazzle the spines of their books instead!
Secondly, “do gems stay on a bedazzled book?” So far there has been no gem falling – the glue is really safe, so your bedazzled books should stay bedazzled as long as you let them dry completely!

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
