25+ Gifts for Neighbors (Non-Food!)

It’s that time of year when gifts for neighbors come first!

If you want to give something to your neighbors to show how much you love and appreciate them without spending a fortune, this post is for you! I asked my Instagram audience for suggestions and the ideas came pouring in – here are some of my favorite Christmas gifts for neighbors!

(PS If you want some food gifts for the neighbors, I have a huge list right here!)

GIFTS FOR NEIGHBORS

Bath salts – I’m not a big bather, but I know people who are and these bath salts would be a really fun gift for an entire family. But I use shower steamers and I absolutely think they would make the best gifts for neighbors.

Cute paper plates – There is something so nice about being allowed to not have to do the dishes. I love this idea!

Trader Joes Plants – Trader Joe’s truly has the best, most affordable and beautiful plants and flowers.

Travel tissues and hand sanitizer for the car – Have you seen these perfectly shaped tissue holders that fit in the door cup holders? Pair it with some hand sanitizer and you have a great gift for the neighbor!

Sparklers – This is really fun especially for New Years!!

Potpourri on the stove – They are really easy to put together and make anyone’s home smell like the holidays. There are many different combinations you can use, but this is my favorite.

Wrapping paper and tape – It’s so nice to have quality wrapping paper with a cute print on it and luckily there are so many options when it comes to prints.

Homemade Holiday Scented Playdoh – This is a great idea, especially for homes with young children. I also like the idea of keeping the kids busy for a while so the parents can do some things!

Car wash tokens – I have never heard of this idea before and would absolutely love to get it since I hate paying for car washes.

Christmas stars – Poinsettias are the mothers of Christmas and they are so cute!

Family movie night – Add a bowl of popcorn, bags of popcorn and some candy and treat your neighbors to a family night together.

Amaryllis bulb – I really love plants, but the icing on the cake is when the plant requires very little maintenance. This is just that: no watering, no soil, no green thumbs needed to care for this plant!

Lotto Scratch Cards – There were a lot of people talking about it! How fun would it be to have a ticket that gives back?!

Wooden cutting board – Charcuterie boards are incredibly popular right now, so giving a wooden cutting board as a gift would be very on trend. I also like that it has a duel purpose and can be used every day.

Cover – Who doesn’t love a new and cozy blanket? These come in tons of color options!

notepad

Notepad and pen – I make a new to-do list every single day on a physical notepad, so I LOVE this idea. These come in a pack of 6, making them less than $3 a piece!

Reserve the Christmas book and order the same in large quantities, so it costs less – Of course you know that I welcome this suggestion. For good Christmas book ideas, check out all my Christmas book lists here!

Mini puzzles – I’ve talked about them before and they are so darn small and adorable! They are even prettier in person if you can believe it and great quality (the pieces fit together and hold together!)

sound gift cards

Gift voucher for a quick dinner – There’s nothing better than seeing 5:30 roll around and having no idea what to make for dinner. Save your neighbor from this for one night with this gift. Someone else said to give Chick-Fil-A sauce as a gift with a gift card attached!

locate it as it travels

Card game – We love a good game around here and would love to give or receive one. You can find some great game ideas here! We’ve played them and love them all!

Greeting card with cookie recipe inside – Get a cute holiday card, along with a recipe card, and write your favorite cookie recipe on it. These are my go-to chocolate chip cookies that we always make!

Mini cutters – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve suggested and given them as gifts. They are so practical and are used all the time!

Bang with Hershey kisses and a note “We’ll bang you a Merry Kissmas!” – Simple to make, useful and delicious!

IDEAS FOR NEIGHBORHOOD GROUPS

Conduct a neighborhood food/toy drive – The person who suggested it said that they would all go together and carry it and then they would go together to the nearby theater to drink hot chocolate. This sounds like a really fun evening that my whole family would love!

Suggest a local charity instead of gifts – I’ve heard of neighborhoods that do this and I like the idea!

Rent a dumpster where everyone can throw away their Christmas trash – Everyone knows how much garbage accumulates during the holidays. I’m sure the garbage collectors would really appreciate this too!

Nothing! – This is a perfectly acceptable answer!

I hope this list of gifts for neighbors was helpful to you! And I’d love to know if I missed any of your favorite gifts to give to neighbors!
