One of my favorite things about the end of the year was the release of the annual reading log template.
You may remember the previous ones (all are still available as undated versions, if you want to use one this year too!) and now, just in time for a new year of reading, this 2026 Spaghetti Tree Games book log is here!
I’m DYING for how cute this is!

If you have a reading goal for 2026, this is for you! (Or for your classroom or family!).
There are more than 75 places you can keep track of your books, from book spines to that adorable library card!
If your goal is to read 12 books in 2026, you can color everything except the spines of 12 books.
If you aim for 25, 50 or 75, you can do the same.
If you read MORE than 75 books this year, fill this one out and then print a second one!
There are so many ways to use the reading log template: you can print a large version and hang on the wall, or a smaller size to fit on a bulletin board, or a small version to pin or glue to the front of your planner or journal.
(If you want to print in large format, here are step-by-step instructions on how to do a technical print – you’ll be amazed at how spectacular they are AND how economical they are!)
You can write the titles of the books you want to read this year on the spines and then color them when you finish them.
You could color them all in from time to time and then write the titles as you read them.
You can use color coding to distinguish between audiobooks and paperbacks, or adult books and read alouds, or books by different authors, or new releases and classics.
Basically the book recording possibilities are endless.

And it’s perfect for all ages: children and adults.
I usually release the annual reading log template at the end of the year, but in recent years A LOT of people have been requesting a pre-Christmas version so they can give it away with their favorite book or print copies for book club members or give it to neighbors – I LOVE hearing all the clever ways people are using it!
No matter how you choose to use the 2026 book log: I hope it makes the next year of reading one of the best yet.
I can’t wait to see you use this – it’s going to be a great year!
And a special bonus this year? We’re turning this book log into a full-color puzzle! You can pre-order it here and use code PREORDER20 for 20% off!
You can sign up for our email lists and get a copy of the reading log here and it will come right to your inbox!
PS As you print this out and use it over the next few weeks and months, I’d be thrilled if you’d share it with me on Instagram: tag me @everydayreading and @spaghettitreegames so we can see them in the wild!
