October flew by in the blink of an eye (being away for a week in Boston definitely made me feel like it flew by) and I can’t believe it’s Halloween this weekend.

We’re finishing up the last of our Halloween costumes, getting ready for our annual Halloween dinner, and getting back into the swing of school and work after a week off.

Here are four of my favorite things this month!

Ruti trousers
I didn’t want to like them because they are too expensive. And then I really LOVED them. They’re great pants for dressing up and down, and excellent for travel—I wore them multiple days during our trip to Boston, including the flight home. I’m wearing my regular size and got a small version because I’m slightly under five foot seven.

Walmart dress
I tried on so many dresses for our family photos this year, including expensive ones from Madewell and Boden and this Walmart dress took the cake. It comes in tons of colors and I absolutely loved it – I chose the wine red color!

DIBS mascara
It’s hard to impress with a mascara and I have my real favorites, but I’ve had this one every day since I got it and it was what I used for our family photo. The double-ended design is a little bulkier to use than a standard tube, but the primer and mascara combo gives me crazy lashes that are worth it.

Portable charger
I have several other portable chargers and this is the one I used every day on our trip to Boston – it charges my phone CRAZY fast and it’s nice and slim, so it fits easily in my little shoulder bag. There are many color options and I like that there are two types of built-in cables.

SoComfy oversized crewneck sweatshirt
When the seasons change, do you ever find yourself looking in your closet and thinking, what the hell did I wear last year? I had one of those moments this month. I have a lot of sweaters that are better than plain ones, but I didn’t have a lot of comfortable clothes, I was working from home, I was going to a soccer game. So I ordered this avocado green crewneck sweatshirt and this umber one with the intention of only keeping one. Well, I kept them both and wore them multiple times. They are so cute with a white t-shirt underneath and I feel comfortable while being comfortable.

Turtleneck sweater
Fall is finally here and there’s nothing better than wearing this soft turtleneck sweater from LL Bean. Just got back from London and it was perfect for walking around the city streets. It’s cozy, chic, and ready for all the fall and winter adventures to come.

Cold Perk
My husband and I love sipping on Perk Chill in the evenings now that it has cooled down. It’s the perfect cozy drink and contains some protein that helps with muscle recovery overnight. Our favorite flavors are Dutch Hot Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, and Raspberry Chocolate.
