A November weekend full of fantastic book deals
by 184yw8rhwhr
There are LOTS of good book deals going on this weekend – sometimes I can barely find 3-4 book deals worth sharing and then other weekends, like this one, I’m WONDERFUL at how many good options there are!
(Also, don’t miss the Audible offer going on right now: 99 cents a month for 3 months! Take two seconds to click the link and see if they’ll give it to you!)

The Unselected Diaries of Emma M. Lion by Beth Brower – audiobook – $4.99
If you’ve been around for a while, you know I love this series! I had read the entire series twice before they came out in audio and was so excited to try the audio version – wait until you hear all the narrator’s voices!

Ramona the Brave by Beverly Cleary – audiobook – $3.99
My girls have binge-listened to every Ramona book. There’s a reason they’re still so popular, after all these years. We listened to one on a trip several years ago and Bart turned to me and said, “She’s a really good writer.” I couldn’t agree more. (Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

Divergent by Veronica Roth – audiobook – $3.99
This dystopian novel was at the top of all the charts when it came out ten years ago and is still a fun read and listen for adults and teenagers!

Owls in the Family by Farley Mowat – audiobook – $1.99
I still remember my mother reading it to us on a little playground in a park in Las Vegas when I was a child. It’s just fun and short (keep in mind that it might take a chapter or two to delve into it). Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin – audiobook – $6.99
I LOVE Gretchen Rubin and this book, which has truly made a name for her. It’s so delicious and perfect for a time of reset, which is what I see as the start of a new year. (Full review here)

Socks by Beverly Cleary – audiobook – $3.99
Oh, how I LOVE Beverly Clearly. I think his books might be some of the best children’s books ever written and are especially delightful with audio. (Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Wild Robot Escapes by Peter Brown – audiobook – $4.99
This is the sequel to the hugely popular Wild robotthat my girls and I listened to and LOVED! In this one, Roz is trying to figure out how to live in the civilized world, all while trying to get back to Brightbill. (Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley by Courtney Walsh – audiobook – $3.99
I heard this story about a lonely college researcher who gave up on love (and pretty much all relationships) on my runs last summer and it was a nice distraction from the miles I was clocking up. The heroine is Isadora who finds a magazine article with 31 ways to be happy and decides that she will prove the author wrong: she will do all 31 things and there is no way she will be happier in the end. Right? This is a squeaky clean romance with a STEM plot and is a fun, fluffy delight.

Dasher Can’t Wait for Christmas by Matt Tavares – audiobook – $1.99
I love this sequel to Dasher, as much as the original. Dasher, a little reindeer, loves Christmas and while out enjoying the festivities, he gets lost. No longer able to find his way using the North Star, will Dasher be able to get home in time to help Santa? (Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!)

The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate – audiobook – $3.99
I basically don’t like animals (I know) and I STILL think this is one of the best children’s books ever, Newbery winner or not. When a book is this sweet and funny and well-written, who cares if it’s narrated by a gorilla? Not me. (Full review here) Plus, this is a Libro.FM deal, so you can use it to make a Yoto card!

Highland Hearts Christmas Bookshop by Tricia O’Malley – audiobook – $3.99
I can never resist a fluffy Christmas read – it’s one of my weaknesses. And this one about a woman who inherits a Scottish bookshop and might find love with the grumpy birdwatcher who keeps turning up… sounds like it could be great!

The Berlin Letters by Katherine Reay – audiobook – $5.99
Growing up in the United States with her German grandparents who left Berlin in the 1960s after the fall of the Wall, Luisa thought both her parents had died in a car accident. Then, in her work at the CIA, she comes across information that makes her question everything she knows about her family. Could his father still be alive and trapped in East Berlin? This gripping Cold War novel tells the story of a family divided by the Berlin Wall, told in a dual timeline from the points of view of Luisa and her father Haris.

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren – audiobook – $5.99
I read this fun Christmas romance novel when it first came out and it was a fluffy delight (like most Christina Lauren books). Maelyn Jones isn’t feeling very cheerful about this: She has a crappy job, lives with her parents, and now she’s just found out that the mountain cabin where her family spends every vacation with two other family friends has been sold. Then . . . Groundhog Day begins when you start living the same day over and over again. If you like Sophie Kinsella’s books, this one is along the same lines (though not as fun).
